Ellen Bradley is a mother of three daughters, master yoga teacher, author, filmmaker, worldschool visionary, and founder of Lucen.
For more than two decades, her work has lived at the intersection of movement, mindfulness, motherhood, education, emotional wellbeing, and one enduring question:
What becomes possible when we learn to trust what we know within?
After more than 20 years of motherhood, 20,000+ hours teaching yoga and wellness, and nearly a decade worldschooling her daughters across the globe, Ellen’s own life has become an exploration of that question.
Again and again, she has discovered that some of the most meaningful paths begin when we loosen our grip on convention, quiet the noise around us, and listen for the softer voice underneath it all.

THE WORLD BECAME THEIR CLASSROOM
Nearly a decade ago, Ellen made the decision to untether her family from traditional schooling and take her three daughters into the world.
What began as a different approach to education became something much larger.
Across more than 40 countries, they learned through people, cultures, landscapes, uncertainty, adventure and everyday life. Education became less about accumulating information and more about developing curiosity, adaptability, empathy, confidence and a relationship with the world itself.
Their journey became the foundation for Ellen’s feature documentary, Untethered: A Wildly Different Normal—an exploration of motherhood, worldschooling, identity, resilience, and the courage required to create a life beyond convention.
LIVING UNTETHERED
From those years grew Living Untethered, a philosophy and movement centered on one simple but radical idea:
Your life changes when you begin listening deeply enough to hear what is true for you—and courageously enough to follow it.
Living Untethered invites us to question the expectations we inherit, release the identities that no longer fit, and return to a more intuitive relationship with ourselves.
Not to escape ordinary life.
But to become more fully alive within it.
This philosophy now runs through everything Ellen creates—from worldschooling and family journeys to wellness, filmmaking, women’s work and the experiences she designs for girls.
RAISING GIRLS WHO TRUST THEMSELVES
OHANA Girls grew naturally from Ellen’s journey as both a mother and teacher.
She believes that if we want girls to become women who trust themselves, we cannot wait until adulthood to teach them how.
Girls need opportunities now to understand their bodies and emotions, recognize their intuition, discover their gifts, develop meaningful friendships and experience their own inner voice as something worthy of listening to.
Through movement, breath, journaling, ritual, self-care, mindfulness and sisterhood, OHANA creates spaces where girls can know themselves more deeply and recognize the light that already exists within them.
The OHANA Radiance Ritual Tour brings this work into studios and communities around the world, building a global sisterhood of girls supporting girls—and women intentionally passing their wisdom to the next generation.
THE WORK CONTINUES
Today, Ellen brings together the many threads of her life through LUCEN: education, travel, wellness, storytelling, motherhood, adventure and human connection.
At the heart of all of it is the same belief that has guided her own journey:
A meaningful life is not something we find. It is something we learn to listen for, choose consciously, and create.
And when a child learns to know herself, trust her heart and recognize the light within, she does more than find her own way.
She carries that light into the world.
